Which is quite a jump for a character whose essence was better served in the fifties where he still could be at odds with society's morals and annoy the goodie-two-shoes. And yet he arrives at the end of the eighties. Very few characters made jumps from their own era and prove to have the longevity to actually work in a new era.

You can't get a better author than Mickey Spillane. I like action, action, and more with a good plot to push it at a fast pace. That's What Mickey does. The book of course arrived in perfect condition and perfect shipping time. You can't do better than that!

I,'ve been a mickey spillage ,Mike hammer fan for over five decades and not one of his books has ever disappointed me for lack of raw sex, gutsy action ,suspense, and non stop action.I,'ve seen hammer at his rock bottom, and his best, a truly believable hero.Spillage has truly become an icon in american crime literature.

Spillane and Mike Hammer both tough as nails. Plot is a bit predictable, but who cares, the action and sex are what you came for.

I am a Mickey Spillane/Mike Hammer fan from the sixties! His books were the "bomb" back then.. and the original seven novels took the industry by storm! He was the first writer I read that wrote in the fist person. Made you feel as if YOU were the character... as opposed to you "watching" the hero!!! Hate these new books written after his death (with his name)... as it is impossible for someone else to write the same character (MIKE HAMMER) with the same intensity and drama that Spillane did!!! The new books are neither better nor worse... just different!!!
