Edward W. Kolb is head of the NASA/Fermilab Astrophysics Center at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, and is a professor of astronomy and astrophysics in the Enrico Fermi Institute at the University of Chicago, where his teaching was recognized by the Quantrell Prize for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching in 1993.

The Early Universe is an awesome book. It's like a bible for astroparticle physicists like myself. The Early Universe provides an excellent introduction to the topics it covers, including the standard big bang cosmology, baryogenesis and inflation. I read Dodelson's Modern Cosmology before this text, and the two compliment each other. The Early Universe provides a more complete and physically intuitive description of the standard big bang cosmology, including the role of thermodynamics, nucleosynthesis and out-of-equilibrium dynamics.

Frontiers in Physics is an annual National Seminar organized by the students for the students. The two day seminar will be graced by speakers from various national and international institutes like IUCAA, NCRA, IISER, TIFR, IIT, SPPU, etc. All the eminent scientists will embark on a journey, covering various fields of Physics.

The Early Universe This is the old print. Has a very good but brief description. Not a good book for beginners. If you know your cosmology well this will broaden your horizon.

These guys are legends, and this is a great book that explains clearly the physics of the early universe.
Cordann
Excellent book. If you want to learn how to link particle physics to Cosmology and Astroparticles this is the book you need to read.
Zeleence
old but with still relevant experimentally applicable models. The book resonates

The Early Universe is an awesome book. It's like a bible for astroparticle physicists like myself. The book arrived as promised and it is almost brand new! pretty good shape!

Received slighty worn used copy even though I ordered and paid for a new copy.

The book itself is a great introduction even if slightly outdated in some parts

great price, great quality
The Early Universe provides an excellent introduction to the topics it covers, including the standard big bang cosmology, baryogenesis and inflation. I read Dodelson's Modern Cosmology before this text, and the two compliment each other. The Early Universe provides a more complete and physically intuitive description of the standard big bang cosmology, including the role of thermodynamics, nucleosynthesis and out-of-equilibrium dynamics. Because of the attention to the "background" dynamics, and also to baryogenesis, phase transitions, inflation, and other applications of high energy physics, one gets a better sense of the "bigger picture" with Kolb and Turner's text. On the other hand, The Early Universe lacks any technical discussion of metric perturbations and CMB analysis, which are important components of much current research. These are highly emphasized in Dodelson's text. For appropriate topics, I have found The Early Universe to be a very good reference.
