I started writing as a teenager, plunking my dad's electric typewriter on my bedroom floor and pounding away at it in my jams Angels by Sidney Sheldon and found the unhappy ending inspiring. So, naturally, I decided to write romance novels, where the ending is guaranteed to be happy. True Colors (book two) and True Shot (book three) are both 2012 RITA finalists in the romantic suspense category. Besides writing, I love to play tennis and board games and grill out with friends.

I have a new favorite romantic suspense author, and her name is Joyce Lamb. I started Found Wanting early this afternoon, intending to read for a little while before tackling my to-do list. Well that to-do list didn't happen because I never stopped reading until the end of the book. I, especially liked how the author kept the hero and heroine at odds far past the normal jump-into-bed point. Once I got to the end, I kept reading the excerpt for the next book, Relative Strangers, and then read the whole book. I'm into book three, Caught in the Act, right now. Yep, a whole day shot due to Joyce Lamb. :)

This is my 2nd Joyce Lamb book. My first " Caught in the Act" prompted me to select another. "Found Wanting" is another book that grabs you and doesn't let go until you've finished the book.
The book begins as her mother arrives on her doorstep letting her know she on her side only to suffer a fatal accidenton her way home. We follow , Alaina ,the main character as continues to run with her son to escape her past and make a new life. It quickly goes from bad to worse and it purposely confuses while you sort out the bad with the good. You know someone evil from her past is coming after her and her son.. You cringe as she meets the detective that has tracked her down. .A steamy little romantic interludes keep you reading waiting to see if he will also deliver her back to the evil ... Keep them coming Ms. Lamb!

This was such a good story! I ordered "Found Wanting" after ready the sample and I was not disappointed. The story's suspense built nicely, the characters Alaina, Mitch, Layton & Addison were developed well, the plot was introduced skillfully and it had a nice (not trite) ending. You had dysfuntional family dynamics, betrayal and murder, but you also had friendship, trust, forgiveness and love. Nothing gushy; strong male & female protagonists, equally strong antagonists, good suspense and nice romance.

It was just a good book to read! It pulled you along, kept you engaged and was memorable. Nice way to spend your time.

I can't get over how much I adore this book. Joyce Lamb, you have yourself a new fan....I will buy any book with your name on it if they're half as emotional and suspenseful as this one! I enjoyed the characters immensely...it was nice to read about a strong heroine. At times, I honestly felt like crying for her and the situation. It takes a lot for a book to make me want to cry. There was just so much suspense and emotion and power in this one novel.

I got this when it was a freebie. It's up to .99 cents now, but I would still HIGHLY recommend it, as it's one of the best novels I've ever read. Check it out!!

I downloaded this book back in Oct 2012 for free.
I finally read it, and I wasn't disappointed. Suspense is just part or it, a mother out to do whatever it took to protect her son, no measure was too extreme. It was intense, and kept me enthralled throughout. How does a mom trust anyone when people were out to take her son away from her, and try to kill her in the process? There was one man willing to bring her back to her lover for taking his son. But will he do just that or die trying? I won't tell. Read it for yourself.

My second Joyce Lamb book - and a fantastic read! If you're a fan of romantic suspense, you can't fail to enjoy this book from start to finish - the characters are very real, the emotions run high, the sensual tension is seriously hot and the action is edge-of-your-seat stuff.

The book had me enthralled from the prologue and the two lead characters carry you through an exciting ride. You'll feel desperately sorry for Ali and the terrible things that happened to her as a teenager - as well as the reaction of her family - and you'll fall in love with Mitch as he fights his prejudices and not only admits he was wrong but does everything in his power to make up for it. I really enjoyed the way Joyce Lamb keeps the tension and conflict between the leads going instead of pushing them straight into bed with each other.

A real page turner.

I absolutely loved this book! Couldn't get enough of it. Loved the story line, mother trying to protect her child by keeping on the run. Full of action! One of the best books I've read. So good, I had already purchased Relative Strangers by this wonderful author, and instead of starting another book, I am going directly to this one. What a great author!

This was my first Joyce Lamb book, but it won't be my last. She put the emotion into the relationship that a lot of books in this genre don't have. The dynamics between the characters were completely believable. A well written book.
