Nicely done, Ms. Walker.

Jenna and Connor were lovers five years ago when he comes back to the small village. This is an OTT angst fest about two lovers who were torn apart by circumstances, a long running family feud, fraternal intervention, fate, immaturity and a huge lack of communication. It's a heart pounder, and on more than once occasion I despised one or the other of the main characters for bad behavior.

I persevered and am so glad I did as there was a nice twist at the end. Nice to be surprised.

Not too sure their HEA is not just a HFN, but the passion is there. Throughout the book, I kept thinking of Splendor in the Grass which, for me, is one of the saddest and poignant stories of young love.
