Captured within the book's 214 pages is a world of discovery and solice, in that every pseudodoxy that he uncovers is replaced with a comforting new concept backed by logic and reason. I can't even begin to convey Nottingham's thoughts. I'd be doing him and you a great disservice by even attempting such a task.

One of greatest christian books I have ever read ! T. N. books ( and Rebecca Nottingham ) are beyond words for helping navigate our spiritual journey with tools for thinking, praying, meditating, and "living"
with a deeper faith and hope from insight into the parables and scripture.

I do hope I can live out my old age & inner development continually using authors such as Maurice Nicoll, John Bennett, scripture & now adding The Nottingham's personal and scholarly contributions .

I just wish authors would refer to us as "human's " instead of MAN .

I think I have found a kindred spirit and fellow seeker. Excellent Book! Opens the heart to the deeper, more fulfilling reality of the truth behind the original Christian faith in a very easy to understand and relate to flow. Very edifying, very edifying in deed.

Ted's description of his 20 year journey from traditional Christianity in the mid-70's through Eastern philosophy; esoteric teachings of the Theosophists; Tarot and a slew of secret societies is a familiar one to many of us. Then, a trip to Asia, while penniless, where wandering monks, roadside shrines and exotic surroundings helped to dull the "noise and madness of Western civilization."

But then, once the way opened to esoteric ("hidden, not secret") path of spirituality, he found that it led him back to his Christian roots. Only now its delicate flower of Christian mysticism, "beyond the ordinary boundaries of our egos... where greater reality is achieved." The chapter on Prayer is worth the price of the entire book!

"Written in Our Hearts" is all about what's real. It's about experiencing the truth rather than accepting it because we're told that it's true. Although the book was written nearly 14 years ago, I plan on using it as an inspirational reference for many years to come.

He manages to express complex thoughts with easy. I plan on re-reading. It is so profound one sitting will not be enough to absorb all the deep spiritual awakening this book contains

This is the second book by Nottingham that I've read. Both were well worth reading and deeply reflecting upon.
I recommend to anyone interested in contemplative or inner Christianity and its historical roots.
Well done. Thank you, Ted Nottingham!

I rarely read books , but reading this remarkable books lead me back to myself, it opened doors for me and helped me to realize how society limitations us, but all of Nottingham's are about how to take the limits off and live to your full potential, whether it comes in the an inspirational book, they are all written with love.
Thanks
Definately a must read book! I would say it's a little advanced or a little too much to take in for someone who has just started believing in Christ, but definately worth reading once you're familiar with the teachings. I would suggest first reading "Parable Wisdom: Spiritual Aqakening in the Teachings of Jesus" by Theodore Nottingham and would also suggest listening to his Podcast. It's free, don't worry! Just search it on google. God Bless!
