I purchased this book as part of a class requirement. Toward the end of the class, I began skimming the chapters due to the wordiness I experienced in the first few chapters. There are some good strategies that I have used, so I'll keep it for reference. If I have a struggling reader in my class, I would refer back to the strategies taught in this book. They are well explained and thorough in examples. Some of the examples seem dated. I would prefer a revision of these strategies to meet the current classroom situations.
