Having climbed only 3 times in my life (two of these at 13 years old!), I don't in the least consider myself an adherent of the sport. That being said, Ilgner's mental training program is easily adaptable to any variety of challenges, physical or mental.

Great practical insight and exercises for anyone wanting to climb better. Clearly written and easy to follow. The illustrations aren't great, nor are the pictures big enough on the kindle but the content is strong.

This is a great condensed version off of The Rock Warrior's Way that goes in-depth on the practical applications of commitment and the mental game of leading. As someone who is struggling with this sort of thing and have read The Warrior's Way, I think this is a great book to keep on hand so that you may re-read the pertinent sections relevant to your problem areas. It's short enough to read in one day, and only contains the necessary information to help the climber who wants to enhance his/her head game and step it up mentally. I love this book!

Absolutely awesome book! There is just not enough information out there to cover the fears involved in rock climbing. Most books have a chapter on it, but that's way too little to actually get to the bottom of it. But this book really gets to the point of it, and makes you realize how much fear (or stress) is actually involved when you climb, even if you might not realize I think. It really got me thinking about how I deal with fear, why I do it, and it really motivates you to try to deal with it. Highly recommend it!

This book is well worth the time and money to read. It has great insights into the "limiting tendency" our minds create, and how to overcome those thought process. I love the practice clinics at the end of the book.

The is a great breakdown of managing the psychological stressors inherent to climbing. This book should be on every climber's to-read list.

Espresso lessons is as its title suggests the original lessons from Rock Warrior's way presented in actionable power-packed short form. In many ways I like this book more in terms of its crystal clear language and tight organization. I'm super glad I got it and am planning on buying it for several of my favorite climbing partners!

After a pretty bad fall, I had issues getting back out there without literally freaking out. The book actually was a great first step to get me back on the wall with a clear and happy mind.
I'd read the original book, Rock Warriors Way & found it difficult to get into. I think Arno realized this and came out with Espresso lessons to make it a little easier for people like myself. He's done a very good job, each chapter is very digestible and has useful lessons. Having read this I think I could approach Rock Warriors Way again and actually have a better, deeper understanding of the material.
