This is a wonderful resource for SLPs who want to begin to or currently offer transgender voice training. A few years ago, I was asked to offer services to this population. I had no experience at all with this type of therapy, so this book was a godsend. I just heard from Richard Adler by way of FB that the the 3rd edition will be released in mid-2018.

Great book for the field. I work with the population and utilize many of the ideas given here. I also am developing my own protocols, but this a great place to start for any therapist working in the field.

This book is a wonderful and comprehensive guide, and I highly recommend it! Mine is covered in highlighter and post-it notes and is my "go-to" for all trans voice and language questions.

I became interested in transgender voice therapy after meeting several transgender people and hearing their stories. As a student in Speech-Language Pathology, my curriculum does not offer a course or resources on transgender voice therapy. I found this book and decided to take a chance and order it along with my other course books. It is PHENOMENAL!! It is very comprehensive and does an excellent job at reviewing all of the previous research on this topic. I was hooked by the end of the first chapter. As a plus, one of the editors is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), so this book is an excellent trust-worthy resource for therapists and student-clinicians interested in learning more about voice and communication therapy for transgender clients.
