A Room with a View is a great novel that offers insight into society during the early twentieth century. The book is made even more enjoyable by the dry humor employed by . He is so serious and sarcastic whenever he makes jokes, it makes the book all the better. From the beginning of the book, Lucy Honeychurch, the protagonist, is torn between what is socially acceptable. This is illustrated by the love triangle between Lucy, George (her true love), and Cecil (her fiancé). I found myself loving the book mainly because of how relatable Lucy is.
