Dr. Fahn was invited to talk on dystonia in a formal address at the 2001 World Congress of Neurology as the David Marsden Memorial Lecturer.
He co-organized the first four international dystonia symposia and published the proceedings of those conferences. Dr. Fahn was the Keynote Speaker at the international workshop on Treatment of Dystonia in Hannover, Germany, in 2013.
He was described as ‘arguably the leading academic neurologist and neuroscientist of his generation in the UK’. Marsden was born in Croydon in 1938. He trained in medicine at St Thomas' Hospital London.
Stanley Fahn, an Elsevier author, serves as the H. Houston Merritt Professor of Neurology.
