Karen Kurz-Riemer, MEd, is a family education consultant, writer, and trainer, based in Minneapolis. A former childhood teacher and administrator, she played a leading role in coordinating the development of Minnesota's Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program from six pilot programs in the mid-1970s to a statewide program that serves nearly 300,000 parents and children each year. She has assisted the Minnesota Department of Children, Families, and Learning as ECFE expands its statewide activity with families of infants and toddlers.
