Barry Spacks' poetry is stridently open to the great adventuresome problem of life.
If you enjoy writing that's accessible but also challenging, poetry that's funny without being cute, poetry that's emotive without being maudlin, then Spacks' poetry is for you. His voice is one of our wisest and most humane.
Elastic Skunk
Spacks is a wisdom writer. It's the quality of his aliveness that makes his work so important. His poetry enlarges one's relationship to life.
