THE BOOK OF BLOOD: While a short story in and of itself, this really acts as the introduction to the series and ties the other stories together in a clever way. A good, solid story but worth reading more for its tie-in effect to the rest of the series (plus it is very short). THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN: An excellent story that on the surface is suspenseful and well written, though a fairly standard horror story.
