Alexander Fullerton is the author of The Nicholas Everard series and the SOE series. Product details The rest of the book seems a bit stilted, as if the author inserted them only to get enough bulk to call it a novel. Familiarity with WWII British naval jargon and of the detailed geography of the English Channel would be helpful. The title refers to the famous Passage from Henry V, but it's kinda stranded without much connection to the novel itself.

Potentially great story, but poorly written and edited. Impossible to follow action with such confusing narrative. Characters, boat numbers, boat descriptions and battle tactics are mushed together so as to make clarity impossible.

The action passages are great, and constitute most of the book.. The rest of the book seems a bit stilted, as if the author inserted them only to get enough bulk to call it a novel. The title refers to the famous Passage from Henry V, but it's kinda stranded without much connection to the novel itself.

Exciting and informative descriptions of war in the "little ships"
An interesting point : The detailed internal description of the boats leaves one somehow feeling they were much larger than they actually were

Pls note : Several books mentioned here were ordered by me, with delivery confirmed and debited to my account and were as follows:
"Lincoln's Admiral"' " Cromwell" "60 minutes for St. George" (or similar name) These and possibly some others NEVER REACHED ME
Pls check and send again

Rambling story lines that were poorly connected. Characters based on not telling on girlfriend running around as main story line
The Sphinx of Driz
A well written book by Alexander Fullerton. A battle at sea, involving MGB's and MTB's, British gun boats. If you were in the navy(you would understand the language), but, I like war stories, so I did enjoy the story. Will recommend to friends and family. Alvis

Action jumps back and forth among several patrol boats. Very hard to follow. Limited to one action. Perhaps if you served on such a vessel you could understand it, but I was mostly lost. A map would have helped. And of course there are subplots to murky the waters.
Cherry The Countess
Good book but tough to read for an American.
Too technical and hard to follow. Would not recommend to a non naval enthusiast
Will not continue to follow the series
