The Molasses Act of March 1733 was an Act of the Parliament of Great Britain (citation 6 Geo II. c. 13), which imposed a tax of six pence per gallon on imports of molasses from non-English colonies. Parliament created the act largely at the insistence of large plantation owners in the British West Indies. The Act was not passed for the purpose of raising revenue, but rather to regulate trade by making British products cheaper than those from the French West Indies.

This is an excellent book to help one understand the climate in Congress today. Everyone there should read it, and then look in the mirror.

I was born in mississippi ,so it was shocking to read about some of the things that I read. I was born about two miles from that court house

It left me num. So much hate and yet call them self's Christians. There are no words to explain they this that happened there. It was as if these people were possessed by the Devil. But as the other reader said, it does help one to understand why things are the way they are in Washington, DC. I was watching the News last night, and listening to many things that are happening in the country (USA) nothing has really changed since 1875 and before. Just that thought left me with such Sadness. I use to believe in Justice. But I know now there is NO Justice and there never will be. How sad, May almighty God help us All.

A must read for anyone concern about True Justice in this country
