I ordered 3 books about space to read with my preschooler. This was by far the best for his age group. He has asked to read it every night since we got it.

My 3 yr old son loves space. He has two space books, and this one is by far his favorite! The amount of text and the detail of information is perfect for his attention span. He loves the pictures, too. I like that he can see the real moon (in photos) with the comfort and familiarity of cartoons. Gives factual data in a fun way he can understand without being overloaded.

I purchased her "In the Castle" book, which had a list of several other of her books. My 2yo kept pointing to this book and he LOVES it. There are real pictures of the moon along with cartoon characters; he loves it just as much as her other one. Now we're waiting for The Dinosaur!

Nice book. Easy to understand. Pictures of the surface of the moon incorporated into this book and that of earth are excellent. Really gives the child a sense of what it looks like close up and the earth from far away. My son is 3 1/2 and loves this book. Illustrations are great too. I would by more from the author/illustrator.

Great info and picture for K-2
My 2½ year old son really liked this book. The wording is simple and straight forward. We enjoyed the real pictures of the earth and moon. He liked the Saturn V rocket so much that I purchased an exact replica of one (from Amazon, $11.00). He carries it wherever he goes.
