Where There is a Wolf, There's a Way" is the third book in the Monster High series by Lisi Harrison. If you have read one of the first two books, you know that this series is light and easily aimed at middle school children. This is odd to me because the toys and cartoons seemed to be aimed at children even younger than this. Still as an adult I read these books. Why? Because they are clean, cute, and they entertain me.

Monster High: Where There's a Wolf, There's a Way. ISBN. 0316099198 (ISBN13: 9780316099196). Therefore, again, I'll start with the positives. One of the opening chapters is set during an emergency RAD meeting where Lala's father Dracula announces that everyone is going to be relocated.

Always overshadowed by her six brothers and her fab friends, Clawdeen Wolf plans to finally strut her stuff in the spotlight at her upcoming Sweet Sixteen bash. Lisi lives in Laguna Beach, California, and is working on a new series. To read this book, upload an EPUB or FB2 file to Bookmate. But after The Ghoul Next Door goes viral, it's into the woods for the family Wolf. Clawdeen goes stir crazy lying low at her family's B&B with her annoying brothers until Lala shows up to keep her company.

Monster High is about what I would have expected of a parnormal `monster' book about high school students brought to you by the author of the "Clique" books. It was cute and not very involved. The book wasn't boring but it wasn't groundbreaking or even all that exciting.

"Monster High" is a novel based on characters created by Mattel. We have Draculaura (Dracula's daughter), Blue Lagoona (daughter or the sea monster), Cleo (the mummy's daughter) and others. This book is told from two points of view. The first is Melody Carver. Melody is a human girl who isn't impressed by beautiful people at all as her dad is a plasic surgeon. The other is Frankie Stein. She was created 15 days ago although she has been created to be 15 human years old. Frankies grandfather is the famous Frankenstein's monster.

Frankie is going to school for the first time and she hates that she has to hide her skin color (Really, skin color???!??) by covering herself with make-up to look white. (And yes, that is how the book puts it). Frankie wants to rebel and be her green, seamed self. She is proud of how she looks and wants all the monster students to be able to come out of the closet.

Melody is nice enough but her story drags the most. When Frankie is with her monster friends the book is good for some fun and chuckles at least. Frankie is a hoot and her innocence is believable and charming. I really wanted to know more about the other monsters as well.

There is a cute plot where Melody and Frankie like the same boy, who really has two personalities...his name is Jackson Jeckyl if that means anything to you. It will be neat to see where this goes.

The story again is cute but its far too easy. The plot doesn't develop enough or ask enough questions. These characters could go far but I just don't know if this book sets things in the right direction. I had pretty much expected the book to be the way it is (again, based on the author) so I wasn't really disappointed.

I am really confused by the marketing of Monster High though. Mattel has developed adorable and creative dolls based on these characters. Barbie and Bratz lovers are going to go crazy for these. There are purses and secret journals and all kinds of toys out there for what I would guess would be 7-10 year olds. This book is marketed for young adults. I don't think many adults and older teens would love it, but it is pretty advanced for the same group that would be buying the toys and watching the cartoons. I would really like to know who exactly Mattel/Harrison are targeting here.

I got interested in Monster High because of Draculaura (because my name is Laura and I am nocturnal and pale like a vampire). I've seen the youtube series, and I definitely like it a lot more than the books. The books take place in a normal town with lots of non-monsters, which meant that a lot of the characters that I really like (such as Draculaura and Ghoulia) were minor characters. Also, very little was resolved at the end of this book. The book is pretty ridiculous with similes, which was amusing. Overall, the book was fine but I would definitely recommend the show more.

"Where There is a Wolf, There's a Way" is the third book in the Monster High series by Lisi Harrison. If you have read one of the first two books, you know that this series is light and easily aimed at middle school children. This is odd to me because the toys and cartoons seemed to be aimed at children even younger than this.

Still as an adult I read these books. Why? Because they are clean, cute, and they entertain me. The third book is as good as the first two. Clawdeen the werewolf is supposedly the main character in this volume, but the book splits time between so many different viewpoints that I am not really sure if she actually does have the most page time. However the big build up in the book is Clawdeen's "Sassy Sixteen" birthday party. After all, who wants to be `Sweet'? The bigger story arc continues in that the normies are all aware of the existence of the monsters and most, but not all, have been outed. Many RAD families decide to move away for awhile and their houses and workplaces are left abandoned. Clawdeen's family moves into the hotel that they own and close it up to the public. Duece's family heads to Greece. Lala goes off with her uncle. How will those who remain in town get their friends back? How can they make the normies understand and accept them?

I applaud the series for its themes of acceptance and individuality but it makes me chuckle how quickly the big problems are resolved. That's nothing new: Look at the big problems the Ingalls were able to overcome in 60 minutes of tv in "Little House on the Prarie"! Still this is easy entertainment and there is nothing in the books to worry over your children reading.

I love the book! I have read it alot, and came in the mail fast/on time. It's in very good condition, and extremely enjoyable! I'd recommend it for teens rather then kids. The boy after all is for teens(as described on the MH site). A definite recommend to any MH fan! And some of the characters from the book made it to the movies/webtoon of the show(Jackson, Billy, D.J) so it was awesome to see them come alive!

This book was amazing honestly. This fight for a normal life has a huge picture to it that I love sooo much about monster high. Melody deciding between her true love Jackson or her best friends haylee and bekka. Frankie has such a big heart and she always fights for what she wants . Frankie and the rest of her best friends are so lucky to have each each other. Each character in this book has a huge role. And each role is super amazing and fun and worth fighting for. I have always loved monster high. And because of these books and the movies and the shows I will always be A MONSTER HIGH fan .#1 fan . Love monster high sooooooooo much.
I will keep this short. A-m-a-z-i-n-g. So exciting. I finished this book in a matter of hours. I loved the ending (no spoilers, sorry).
