Enrico Casarosa is an Italian storyboard artist and director who works at Pixar. In 2012, he was nominated for an Academy Award for the animated short film La Luna. Starting in 2011, he worked as a head of story on Bob Peterson's film, The Good Dinosaur. Casarosa was born in Genoa, Italy, and moved to New York City in his twenties, to study animation at the School of Visual Arts and Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology

In an old wooden boat they row far out to sea, and with no land in sight, they stop and wait. A big surprise is in store for the little boy as he discovers his family's most unusual line of work. Should he follow the example of his Papa, or his Grandpa? Or will he be able to find his own way? This charming picture book is filled with incredible illustrations, and its unique story based on the Disney*Pixar short film is sure to delight.

I fell in love with this story when I saw it in theaters before Wall-E, and knew it was something I would want to pass on to my kids someday. It's such a cute and imaginative way to explain why the moon changes shape every night! The book itself is high quality, the illustrations are pretty, and although I still think the film is better, the written story is still very sweet. Would make a great gift for a new mom!

I would have preferred this in a print edition but the Kindle version is good too. I love the story.

Lovely Pixar short, and when I couldn't find it to buy, I got this book. It's beautiful and I cannot wait to read it to my little brother and sister.

I can't wait for it to come out with the movie Brave. Best kid book ever!! Totally love this and I know my kids will too.

This is a fantastic story for any age.
It is exactly the same as the Pixar short for the most part. When I saw the short in theaters with Brave, I absolutely loved it and believe it was 100% better than Brave.
The book's illustrations are obviously different than Pixar's animation so you can't really fault them for that...
It is just a great read. One of the best children's books I have seen in a while

Just as cute as the short film. This is a new favorite of ours. Well worth the price and has wonderful graphics.
