The world of Python is vast. However, this book has a lot of the core knowledge that you need. It is very well written and their is hardly a paragraph that is not useful. However, be prepared to read the text many times before you fully understand it.

Pretty good tutorial. Shows syntax structure of commands and statements. Also gives examples. Very low cost way to have such information at your fingertips. Would like to see stuff about IDLE included.

No surprise as everything is given on Web. However it is well written and very helpful, particularly off line, so it deserves extra credit. After that a little hint - put what you have read there in practice on your Ipad. Test it using Pythonista, really brilliant app, sort of "mini-Matllab" to do both calculations and graph the results. I am enjoying testing the Python book on my IPad, I am sure you find it interesting too. Many thanks to Python developers for tools, examples and comprehensive documentations.

There is something wrong with the file for this book in the Android version. I purchased it last night. It crashes on mu Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and in my Google (LG) Nexus 4. It works on the PC Kindle App. Upon re-installing the Kindle Apps and clearing caches and all data for the App., the problem remains unchanged. First time ever it has happened to me with any Kindle Book (over 300 of them). So, I hate it even though I have not been able to read it, unfair? Maybe....
