A tour of the astonishing and stunning newly painted Victorian homes now beautifying all of the United States as ancestors of the original Painted Ladies of San Francisco! 172 full-color photographs.
Follow up to the first painted ladies book that was all about San Francisco. This one is a decade later and features from around the country. Most are interesting houses but paint schemes are a lot more subdued than in the original. Also author seems to be off on some of heir house descriptions in regards to types etc. Photos are nice but not as good as first. Broad shots of houses to get the full 2-3-4 stories into frame and then others that are close ups. Good overall but seems to be not as inspired or author and photographer were overwhelmed with the enormity of the whole nation.
