A Study of the County and Its Environs 1640-60 in a Regional Setting. This book is a record of the social, political, religious and military state of affairs in Radnorshire from before the Civil War to the Restoration, but, by its nature, much reference is made to events in neighbouring counties and further afield. The generally held view that Radnorshire was both a poor county at the time of the Civil War and essentially Royalists in outlook is shown not to be the case. Keith Parker is a local historian who was head of the History department at John Beddoes School in Presteigne. He carries out many lecture functions.
