Martin Barker is Professor of Film and Television Studies at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Barker and Austin have worked together previously on FROM ANTZ TO TITANIC:REINVENTING FILM ANALYSIS.

Martin Barker is Professor of Film and Television Studies at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He is author/co-author of 11 books related to Film and Media Studies. Thomas Austin is Lecturer in Media Studies at the University of Sussex and is the author of HOLLYWOOD, HYPE AND AUDIENCES:SELLING AND WATCHING POPULAR FILM IN THE 1990S.

Martin Barker, Thomas Austin.

Martin Barker (born 20 April 1946) is a British scholar of media studies and cultural studies. Contemporary Hollywood Stardom, London: Arnold 2003. He is now an Emeritus Professor at Aberystwyth University, having previously taught at the University of the West of England and the University of Sussex. He is known for being one of the pioneers behind the concept of cultural racism, which he termed "new racism".
