After the war, Saigon was renamed Ho Chi Minh City. Indeed, some half dozen commemorative events are held each year on April 30- the anniversary of Saigon’s fall. I was one of these diners. My parents used to work until eight thirty every night at their business in the community, and it was cheaper for our family to eat at restaurants around Little Saigon than it would.
