I have some vegan cookbooks that I really like but all the recipes are for way too much food and way too much fussing. This cookbook isn't any of that. There's enough for dinner and some left over for lunch at work tomorrow. I am anti-leftover!

I've only made 2 things, the "sausage" and the deliriously tasty Hacienda Home Fries and I'm hooked. I didn't even have all the ingredients and everything still turned out great. The home fries were even sorta burned in spots and they still rocked.

I wish there were gluten free subs for all the whole wheat pastry flour used in the recipes so it's make-it-up-as-you-go as per usual and if you're GF you've learned to deal already. Don't let the non-GF recipes deter you from getting this book.

Easy, tasty, fast, and nothing you couldn't get at any decent grocery store except maybe tempeh. And the tempeh sausage patties...... oh my.

The back of this book even says "these 'servings for one' recipes are designed especially for you". Well yeah, if you have a family of 3 or 4! Most recipes in this book give you 3-4 servings, 2 sandwiches/wraps, 4 "burgers", or 2 cups of dip/dressing that only lasts 5 days in the refrigerator. Ummmm, I could have those serving sizes in a typical vegan cookbook. I won't eat 4 burgers in one sitting or 2 cups of dip in 5 days. If you want a good vegan cookbook then this is probably for you because the recipes look pretty yummy but if you want a vegan cookbook with serving sizes of 1-2 this is not for you.

I was really excited to finally find a Vegan recipe book that has smaller-sized recipes; most cookbooks make meals for 6-10. But this book wasn't what I hoped for. Not only were most of the recipes costly to make (ingredients wise), they were definitely not for singles. They still cost and made enough food for five.
