Margaret, Lady Brooke, Ranee of Sarawak (9 October 1849 – 1 December 1936) was queen consort of the second White Rajah of Sarawak, Charles Anthony Johnson Brooke. She published her memoir, My Life in Sarawak, in 1913. The memoir offers a rare glimpse of life in The Astana in Kuching and colonial Borneo.
Beauregard Langdon (better known as Beau) is the son of Constance and Hugo Langdon and the brother of Tate, Adelaide, and Rose Langdon. He is a character in American Horror Story portrayed by Sam Kinsey. Unlike most of the ghosts haunting the Murder House, Beau is a very kind and innocent soul. Beauregard ("Beau" for short) was kept chained in the attic by his mother when his family lived in the Murder House. He was smothered with a pillow by Larry Harvey at Constance's request.

In this book, Morton has crafted a richly textured real-life character and narrated her story with seemingly effortless prize-worthy prose. It’s a robust achievement by a master literary craftsman. Florence is a famous feminist writer and radical activist with a long history of successful publications and achievements. The book has additional subplots having to do with Janine’s temptation to have an affair with one of her colleagues and Daniel’s reaction to this development. The narrative point of view shifts between the book’s four main characters: Florence, Daniel, Emily, and Janine. What I found most surprising about the novel was its humor.
