I recommend all of Armstrong's books to anyone interested in history, religion, politics, & the historical, religious figures of note.
While this book does not feel as exhaustive as that one, her writing still has the ability to make me stop and think about the ideas, beliefs, and biases I take for granted. If understanding the human condition is an interest of yours, then you should read this book. Karen Armstrong is a terrific writer & I consider her the best religious writer of our time. I recommend all of Armstrong's books to anyone interested in history, religion, politics, & the historical, religious figures of note. 7 people found this helpful.
