Magali Bardos was born in Paris in 1970. After reading History at university, she went on to attend the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels, Belgium. During the six years she spent in Belgium, Magali worked in collaboration with the Belgian Press and with theatre companies doing painting, set construction and puppet building. She has returned to Paris and is currently dividing her time working as a set-design assistant at the Opera Royal de la Monnaie and children's book illustration.

Magali Bardos is a French author and illustrator. She worked as an assistant stage designer, made puppets and drew for children’s books before working with publishers, magazines and illustration workshops.
