Brown Cheese Please cracks me up! With a little experience in the Norwegian culture the situations in this book are painfully recognisable. The Norwegians are a nation who are admired for possessing a wonderfully offbeat view of the world, and Jenny K Blake has managed to reflect that with her own take on things. I picked up this book at an airport while travelling via Norway, and it's managed to consistently make me laugh time and time again.

In simplest terms, brown cheese, or brunost as it is written in Norwegian is a tan-coloured ‘whey cheese' with a distinctive caramel flavour. Jenny says: April 17, 2014 at 11:50 am. Part of me feels it’s cheating to use the word cheese in its name at all, because, well, it isn’t technically cheese! The production process is actually quite simple.
