Later he handed me a book by Thich Nhat Hanh titled Going Home: Jesus and Buddha as Brothers, which turned out to be an awesome book indeed. We discussed what we had in common. This singular encounter taught this Christian Scientist and that BuJew both more than I can describe here. I don’t know where that guy is now, but I do know that both of us were changed that day. The Torah says: Don’t seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself (Leviticus 19:18).
