The book was better than advertised; while claiming it as used, it was actually new! The book is 420 pages, and I have only had minimal time with it. Furthermore, I will probably use it as a reference book. I recently found a reference to it in Reverend-Doctor Joseph Iannuzzi's Doctoral Dissertation, entitled "The Gift of Living in the Divine Will in the Writings of Luisa Piccarreta", published by St. Andrew's Productions. The latter reference discusses how the Most Blessed Trinity is going to restore the Garden of Eden during this millenium, known as the Fiat of Sanctification. Since sancitification refers to the action of sanctifying grace in the soul, Fr. Scheeben's book will provide in-depth knowledge of the need for increasing grace, especially if one wants to live in the Divine Will, as Adam and Eve did before they fell from grace and were expelled from the Garden of Eden.

I love this book. I read only a couple paragraphs each time and contemplate them for a while. It's wonderful to read about the unlimited generosity and love God is actively giving at every moment.

One of the Breyer books I’ve read except for some chapters

The author writes exceedingly well on the topic and strives to impress upon the reader the value and importance of cooperating with grace. Familiarity with what the Catholic Church teaches along with teachings of the Fathers of the Church will be helpful to the reader to fully appreciate and understand what the author is striving to instruct the reader in. Those instructed in the Catholic Faith know there is no salvation outside the Church - and they know there is no salvation for those in the Church who die without Sanctifying Grace in their souls.

If you have ever questioned what is Grace or the importance of Grace than please read this book. The Author provides insights tht are amazing from himself, the saints and from the fathers of the early church.

This is an excellent read that provides good thought provoking information written in a style that does not confuse or cause you to purchase other materials to undersyand what it is saying.
Among the mysteries of Catholicism, none is more practically important than the doctrine of grace. It is at the very heart of Christianity because it describes the panorama of God's dealings with mankind. However the doctrine of grace is not simple, as may be seen from the sequence of errors in the understanding of grace seen along the path of the Church's history. In this wonderful book "The Glories of Divine Grace," Fr. Matthias J. Scheeben explains Divine Grace in a clear manner, far from the abstract treatises of other writers. It is written in a direct style that everyone can understand. He reminds us of the integral role grace plays in our daily lives and how a clear grasp of the basic principles of grace is useful, and may at times be indispensable, for directing oneself and others on the road to salvation.
